BULK TRANSSHIPMENT SLOVAKIA, a.s.

The company operates a fully automated technology of transshipment complex in Čierna nad Tisou. The unique transshipment technology of bulk substrates - rotary tippler – supports direct and indirect transshipment with extra storage under high ramp throughout its length. The complex comprises the thawing hall.

Cargo Wagon, a.s.

ZSSK CARGO Intermodal, a.s.

On August 1, 2015 an announcement was made of the second round of the international competitive bidding procedure for the entry of a qualified investor into the subsidiary ZSSK CARGO Intermodal, a.s., engaging in the implementation of intermodal transport. Four companies took part in the bidding process. By October 31, 2015, which was the deadline for the submission of binding bids, only one complete bid and three notifications of a decision not to bid were received. The only bid submitted by the investor EP Cargo, did not, however, meet ZSSK CARGO's expectations as to the bid price for a 66-per cent shareholding in the subsidiary. The Russian company TransContainer, the Chinese company Bondex Logistics, and the Slovak company Railtrans International entered the bidding process without submitting a bid.

Given the aforementioned facts, the Steering Committee declared the competitive bidding procedure closed without selecting a qualified investor. At the same time, it recommended that ZSSK CARGO should not hold another round of the bidding procedure, but instead should consider other options for the development of intermodal transport and a systematic solution through support activities within the parent company.
