ECM (Entity in Charge of Maintenance)

ZSSK CARGO is the largest ECM provider in Slovakia in terms of the number of freight wagons and locomotives registered in the National Vehicle Register.

ZSSK CARGO obtained a new Certificate of Conformity of Entity in Charge of Maintenance and a Certificate of Conformity of Maintenance Functions, by which the certification body Viacare, s.r.o. confirms the recognition of the ECM maintenance system and outsourced maintenance functions within the European Union in accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/798 of the European Parliament and of the Council and Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2019/779. ECM Certificates are issued for a range of activities for wagons, locomotives and engine units. They are valid until March 7, 2027.

We meet all the requirements of the ECM Regulation in terms of safety culture, responsibility for maintenance and compliance with the Common Safety Methods (CSM) of the Safety Management System (SMS).
