Successful external audits of certified products at ZSSK CARGO

In week 42 of this year, the first phase of external audits of certified products was carried out at ZSSK CARGO workplaces under the supervision of auditors from TÜV SÜD Slovakia. During this phase, as well as during the upcoming second phase, a company-wide external audit of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System is also being conducted in accordance with international standards.

During the first two days of the audit, the certified products Rolling stock maintenance and repairs, storage and distribution of goods were audited at the Košice, Čierna nad Tisou, and Haniska pri Košiciach workplaces.

The last day focused on the audit of the certified product Ensuring professional qualification and education of the employees, which took place in Košice.

The audits were successful, with no serious non-conformities found. The auditors appreciated the professional level, preparedness of the workplaces, and responsible approach of the employees. Only minor non-conformities were found, which will be eliminated within the set deadlines. At the same time, the auditors pointed out environmental shortcomings at some workplaces, especially in the area of waste handling. These recommendations will be incorporated into internal measures to improve environmental behavior and workplace conditions.

The second phase of external audits will focus on the certified product Railway freight transport and transportation and will take place in week 45 at workplaces in Bratislava, Žilina, and Košice.
